
Franklin Lofts and Flats Now Accepting Applications

Franklin Lofts and Flats, a new affordable apartment community located in the cultural district of Mount Vernon in Baltimore City, is now accepting applications. The new community will provide a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and lofts and is expected to open in December.
Franklin Lofts and Flats boasts a convenient location within the city, as well as on-site amenities, including a club room complete with a kitchenette and a resident lounge with free Wi-Fi access. With a number of unique floor plan styles, select apartments will offer 14’ ceilings, an in-unit washer and dryer and second floor lofts. Handicap accessible apartments will also be available.
Three of the 41 apartments will be available to households at or below 30% of area median income, seven apartments at or below 40% of area median income and 20 apartments at or below 60% of area median income. Seven units have been set aside for households that are Non-Elderly Persons with a Disability (NEDS) from the Housing Choice Voucher waiting list at Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC). Three UFAS units are available for households with mobility impairments and one additional unit is equipped for individuals with sensory impairments. Those individuals that qualify with a physical disability will have priority for occupancy in these units. Water, sewer and trash are included in the rent.
Franklin Lofts and Flats is being developed by Osprey Property Company and will be professionally managed by Habitat America, LLC.
