Clare Court was built by Catholic sisters in 1917 and served as an orphanage, school, and convent. Because of this, part of the beautiful ten acre property continues today to serve as a convent home and chapel for the Sisters of St Francis of Assisi. In order to continue their mission, the Sisters joined with Homes for America, a nonprofit housing developer who created 30 units of housing. The overall goal of Clare Court is to help create and preserve families and foster intergenerational living in the community.
