There are approximately 265 diverse, hardworking and qualified people in the Maryland-Virginia-DC metropolitan area working for Habitat America, LLC, a woman-owned property management company, with headquarters in Maryland. Each of our apartment communities has on-site resident services staff that plan events for each community but we ensure that they are not isolated societies. Nearly every apartment community has interaction with the surrounding community, hosting flu-shot clinics and blood-pressure screenings, fairs of many types, and transportation for residents to do their shopping and other business locally. Each community's management works directly with different social agencies and programs, e.g. Department of Aging. After-school care and activities are provided at some of the family communities. All these services are provided to give residents a true sense of belonging to an active community.

Each August, Habitat America donates Back-to-School supplies so New Beginnings can distribute them to community children in need. During the holiday season, funds are donated so New Beginnings can help provide gifts, furniture and holiday meals to needy community families.
